[ETUDE HOUSE] Dr. OIL SOLUTION *Anti-Shine Finish Pact*

I'm so sorry, that I update my blog so seldom but I'm too busy with other things, moreover I didn't have many products to review left. But I ordered some new products again and will review them as soon as possible.

Now I will review a face powder which I got a while ago and use already since a few weeks: the Dr. OIL SOLUTION Anti-Shine Finish Pact from [ETUDE HOUSE]. This product line also contains a BB Lotion and a Dual Primer. I'm not sure if these products are still available, though, since I got them back in 2011/ 2012.

Description: Shine control pressed powder supplies moist, flawless complexion coverage finish.
The powder pact comes in a cute, small container which is mainly light blue and contains 11g. The outer packaging is kept in light blue and off-white and has the description in Korean and English on it.
Inside the container is a mirror and a small sponge included.
The Anti-Shine Finish Pact is recommended for oily skin and contains ingredients like Talc, Silica, Tea Tree Leaf Oil, Coconut Oil, Grapefruit Fruit Extract, Cranberry Fruit Extract, Lavender Flower Extract, Castanea Shell Extract and more.
This powder pact is available in one shade only which is a light beige and good enough for my white/ pale skin.
The coverage is not too strong yet good enough for me. If you need a better coverage you should try a different powder like the Strawberry Pore Magic Cover BB Pact [Holika Holika]. Anyway, for me it's ok and I like that it doesn't give me that 'mask-effect'.
The oil control does a good job: my face stays shine-free for a longer time but doesn't last for the whole day, though.
It's a nice powder which I use always over my BB cream. It reminds me somehow of the SHINI STAR Clear Pact, just that this one here is 'beige'. I recently ordered the Cat's Wink Clear Pact by [TONYMOLY] and think that it might be similar to these two products as well.
How to use: Use puff to gather and apply to face. Pat to finish.

Price: around 10,- €/ US$12
Bought at: eBay (rubyruby76)

What I love:
The small size, light coverage and that my face stays longer 'matte'.

What I don’t like:
The oil control could last longer.

Will I buy this again? I think it's not available anymore and I purchased already a similar powder pact.

[Holika Holika] Strawberry Pore Magic Cover BB Pact *Light Beige*

During my Korea trip in 2011 I went to the [Holika Holika] stores at LOTTE WORLD and Myeong-dong. I purchased just a few things there, one of these was the Pore Cover BB Pact in #2 Natural Beige of the Strawberry Pore Magic Cover line.
Back home I ordered another Pore Cover BB Pact and the Pore Cover Mousse BB Balm. Both products changed its designs!!
I can say that I didn't like the Mousse BB Balm at all because it made my skin super dry and flaky - especially when applied with the included sponge. My face looked awful! I think I threw it away before I finished the product.

All products available in the Strawberry Pore Magic Cover line:
- Pore Cover Mousse Starter
- Pore Cover Sealer
- Pore Cover Mousse BB Balm (Light Beige/ Natural Beige)
- Pore Cover BB Pact (Light Beige/ Natural Beige)
- Pore Cover Powder

Today I wanna review the old version of the Pore Cover BB Pact in #1 Light Beige!

Description: Lightweight Pore Cover BB Pact perfectly covers blemished and other imperfections. Evens out the skintone like porcelain with high coverage. Berry Mix Complex and mineral water helps condition and nourish the skin. SPF35 PA++
The outer packaging is kept in metalic pink and has a strawberry print on the front and back. Most of the description is written in Korean, just a few things are in English.
The old version of the BB Pact comes in a compact powder case which is also silver and pink. It conatins 11g and includes a mirror and a sponge.
The powder contains a mix of berries: Strawberry (0,025ppm), Blueberry and Raspberry
I can't read the other ingredients well.
The compact powder has an strawberry imprint and smells fruity. #1 Light Beige suits my natural skin tone well and the coverage is also very good. Sadly, I tend to apply too much product, so that it looks like a 'mask'. I already apply it with a powder brush instead of the sponge but the result still doesn't satisfy me.
I like the good coverage and that it covers most of my pores but I dislike that it makes me look like wearing a mask (that's something I will work on, though). I also think that it gives me breakouts but I don't wanna blame the powder for it coz I'm not sure about that.
How to use: Lightly apply proper amount over entire face. Pat firmly on creases.

Price: around 15,- €/ US$18.50
Bought at: eBay (rubyruby76)

What I love:
The fruity scent and good coverage.

What I don’t like:
Makes me look like wearing a mask. The oil control is not perfect and I think it gives me breakouts.

Will I buy this again? Nope, I definitely won't! The powder pacts from [ETUDE HOUSE] work better for me.

[baviphat] Bavi Band AC Therapy Pact *Light Beige*

Since one week I'm using a new compact powder because I used up my previous one from [ETUDE HOUSE]. The one I use now is from [baviphat] and I purchased it back in 2011.
Bavi Band AC Therapy Pact is recommended for acne-prone skin and available in two (2) shades: #1 Light Beige and #2 Natural Beige
I purchased it at eBay but the seller is not selling it anymore. Probably it's discontinued already! Because of that I can't find any informations about this product anymore - not at eBay, google or baviphat's website. I just remember that some ingredients inside shall help to soothe acne-prone skin which becomes red and sensitive due to excess sebum.

The powder pact is housed in a simple white container with a cute print on it. It's a similar print as on the Cleansing Foams. The container includes a mirror and a small soft sponge.
The content is 12g!
#1 Light Beige is the brighter shade available and contains no shimmer. The powder pact is nice scented and has a good coverage.
Most of the time I applied the Bavi Band AC Therapy Pact with the included sponge but I usually tend to use too much of the product this way. My face feels like if I wear a mask and I can see the bad result on my skin as well. Therefore, I try to apply it with a powder brush from now on - with better results!
Unfortunately, my skin still gets oily and reddish after just a few hours but I think I will have that problem....always!!

Price: around 10,- €/ US$15
Bought at: eBay (rubyruby76)

What I love:
The coverage is good!

What I don’t like:
It feels like I wear a mask coz I tend to use too much with the sponge. Oil control isn't good as well!

Will I buy this again? Nope, but I also think it's not available anymore!

[ETUDE HOUSE] SHINI STAR *Clear BB Lotion & Clear Pact*

Yesterday I received two new products: The SHINI STAR Clear BB Lotion and SHINI STAR Clear Pact. This product line by [ETUDE HOUSE] is the SHINee Special Edition. If you don't know it, SHINee are a Korean boy band.
They also released some Lip Balms and Toner/ Skin (the latter under the name 'mal:gem').

Description: Colostrum extract protects the skin from dehydration with no irritation and prevents the loss of moisture in the skin cell layer to maintain the health of skin.
4-Free System: No Paraben, No Ethanol, No Mineral Oil, No Benzophenone.

Clear BB Lotion (SPF20):
Description: BB Lotion moisturizing foundation promotes a moist, brightened and natural complexion look.

The SHINI STAR product line comes in cute baby pink & blue colors with some gold. On the packagings are the descriptions in Korean & English.
The Clear BB Lotion comes in a tube with a pump and 30g contents.
You can get the BB Lotion only in one shade which I would say is a light-medium beige.
The consistency is not very thick - rather lotion-like what would explain the products name: BB Lotion instead of BB Cream. It has just a light coverage, so I have to use a compact powder over it to cover skin blemishes better. The scent is not too strong!
BB Lotion contains Water, Zinc Oxide, Milk Protein Extract, Silica, Rice Extract, Sesame Seed Extract, Soybean Seed Extract, Blackberry Fruit Extract, Oat Kernel Extract, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein and other things.

Clear Pact (#1 Peach):
Description: Moist pressed powder subdues facial oil to promote soft, luminous skin.

The packaging of the Clear Pact has the same colors as the Clear BB Lotion and the powder itself is inside a round baby blue container. 10g are inside, plus a mirror and a small soft powder puff.
I was wondering first why this powder isn't available in beige shades. Anyway, I decided to get #1 Peach (Natural Skin Tone). The other color available is #2 Lavender (Splendid Skin Tone).
This powder got fine shimmer and does mainly mattify my skin. The color is barely visible so don't worry, you won't get a pinkish or violet face. The coverage is light that's why I use it over a compact powder but when my skin is in better condition I will use it alone, too.
The Clear Pact contains Talc, Silica, Corn Starch, Milk Protein Extract, Rice Extract, Sesame Seed Extract, Soybean Seed Extract, Blackberry Fruit Extract, Oat Kernel Extract and more.

I like both products but these are only good when I don't need to cover much. So, I will use them on my 'better' days. I also think these products are good for combination and oily skin coz they say it absorbs sebum.
I wore them for around 4 hours today and my skin didn't look too oily after that time. I didn't notice any breakouts yet as well!

Price: around 11,- €/ US$14.50 (Clear BB Lotion); around 10,-€/ US$13.50 (Clear Pact)
Bought at: eBay (zinopark)

What I love:
There is nothing I really love atm.

What I don’t like:
The coverage could be better.

Will I buy this again? I don't think so!
