[TONYMOLY] BABY DOLL POT CONCEALER *Light Beige*

A concealer is something I often use when apply make-up, especially when the BB creams coverage alone isn't enough. Usually I get concealer sticks in beige shades but sometimes in green as well (to cover red spots). However, the last concealer I purchased is the [TONYMOLY] BABY DOLL POT CONCEALER which belongs to the same product line as the BABY DOLL BB POWDER.
As always, I got #1 Light Beige! For darker skin tones it's also available as #2 Natural Beige.

Description: Baby Doll Pot Concealer that is natural and perfect coverage, longlasting effect and low-stimulus concealer. It maintains clean makeup condition for a long time, because porous powder absorbs excessive sebum and coated powder particles enhances adhesion.
The concealer comes in a small, round jar with a pearl white twist-off lid. 4g are inside!
On the bottom is just a simple sticker with some informations in korean. No description or ingredients are on it, though.
Underneath the lid is a second white cover to protect the product itself.
The soft scented BABY DOLL POT CONCEALER has a creamy concistency, is easy to spread on my skin and gives a slight matte finish.
Even though, #1 Light Beige is the lightest shade it just fits my pale skin tone when I blend it well.
All in all, the concealer covers up quite good with a matte finish.
But, I don't find it hygienic that I need to dip my fingers in the pot to get the product out. Of course, I could use a small brush or something but I never do.
How to use: Dot onto blemishes, and then softly spread it with a finger.

Price: around 6,- €/ US$8
Bought at: eBay (zinopark)

What I love:
The creamy concealer is easy to spread on my skin and the coverage is quite good!

What I don’t like:
The color fits my pale skin tone only when blended well and I need to dip my fingers in the pot.

Will I buy this again? I don't think so! Maybe switch back to concealer sticks again.

[Holika Holika] Strawberry Pore Magic Cover BB Pact *Light Beige*

During my Korea trip in 2011 I went to the [Holika Holika] stores at LOTTE WORLD and Myeong-dong. I purchased just a few things there, one of these was the Pore Cover BB Pact in #2 Natural Beige of the Strawberry Pore Magic Cover line.
Back home I ordered another Pore Cover BB Pact and the Pore Cover Mousse BB Balm. Both products changed its designs!!
I can say that I didn't like the Mousse BB Balm at all because it made my skin super dry and flaky - especially when applied with the included sponge. My face looked awful! I think I threw it away before I finished the product.

All products available in the Strawberry Pore Magic Cover line:
- Pore Cover Mousse Starter
- Pore Cover Sealer
- Pore Cover Mousse BB Balm (Light Beige/ Natural Beige)
- Pore Cover BB Pact (Light Beige/ Natural Beige)
- Pore Cover Powder

Today I wanna review the old version of the Pore Cover BB Pact in #1 Light Beige!

Description: Lightweight Pore Cover BB Pact perfectly covers blemished and other imperfections. Evens out the skintone like porcelain with high coverage. Berry Mix Complex and mineral water helps condition and nourish the skin. SPF35 PA++
The outer packaging is kept in metalic pink and has a strawberry print on the front and back. Most of the description is written in Korean, just a few things are in English.
The old version of the BB Pact comes in a compact powder case which is also silver and pink. It conatins 11g and includes a mirror and a sponge.
The powder contains a mix of berries: Strawberry (0,025ppm), Blueberry and Raspberry
I can't read the other ingredients well.
The compact powder has an strawberry imprint and smells fruity. #1 Light Beige suits my natural skin tone well and the coverage is also very good. Sadly, I tend to apply too much product, so that it looks like a 'mask'. I already apply it with a powder brush instead of the sponge but the result still doesn't satisfy me.
I like the good coverage and that it covers most of my pores but I dislike that it makes me look like wearing a mask (that's something I will work on, though). I also think that it gives me breakouts but I don't wanna blame the powder for it coz I'm not sure about that.
How to use: Lightly apply proper amount over entire face. Pat firmly on creases.

Price: around 15,- €/ US$18.50
Bought at: eBay (rubyruby76)

What I love:
The fruity scent and good coverage.

What I don’t like:
Makes me look like wearing a mask. The oil control is not perfect and I think it gives me breakouts.

Will I buy this again? Nope, I definitely won't! The powder pacts from [ETUDE HOUSE] work better for me.

[i.myss] A.CARE TROUBLE COVER BB CREAM

After a few month I finally ordered two (2) new BB Creams!! One is from [ETUDE HOUSE] and the other one is from a brand I recently got to know: it makes your skin sing or better known under the short form [i.myss]. I guess this brand is rather new?!
Anyway, the korean boyband 2AM (투에이엠) is the new face for i.myss.
Btw, why are so many guys the face of a cosmetic brand (2AM, SHINee, JYJ, CNBLUE,...)???

So, when I saw this new brand I got very curious and wanted to try out one of their BB Creams. I got the A.CARE TROUBLE COVER BB CREAM for acne-prone/ troubled skin.

Description: A special trouble care line freshly repairing the stressed skin by madecassoside and easing the trouble by natural ingredient extracted from tangerine fruit.
The BB Cream is inside a white paper box which has on the front a member of 2AM (sorry, I don't know their names...). On the back is the description in korean and on the side in english.
The product itself comes in a flat, whitish tube with a twist-off lid. It contains 50ml!
The ingredient list is quite long: Water, Talc, Magnesium Sulfate, Orange Oil, Lemon Fruit Oil, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Oil, Bergamot Fruit Oil, Citronella Oil, Geranium Maculatum Oil, Citrus Unshiu Fruit Oil, Tangerine Peel Oil, Tea Tree Leaf Oil. Salicylic Acid, Iron Oxides and more.
The consistency is creamy, not too thick, though. It has a good coverage and mattyfies my skin for a few hours. Unfortunately, the A.CARE TROUBLE COVER BB CREAM is available in one shade only which I would describe as Natural Beige
For my white/ pale skin this shade is a bit too dark what makes me sad.
I can only apply a thin layer or need to mix it with a (lighter) BB Cream or a Primer. It might suit asians or ppl with darker skin, though!
The scent is slightly fruity, ethereally (from the oils).
I wished I could leave a more positive feedback but the shade is just not the right one for pale skin types. Hopefully they will offer more color options in the future.
But I like the coverage and the matte finish!
How to use: At the last step of foundation touch, take a proper amount to apply along with skin texture smoothly and tap softly to help absorbtion.

Price: around 11,50,- €/ US$12
Bought at: eBay (cosmetic.love)

What I love:
The coverage is good and it leaves a matte finish. Nice scent as well!

What I don’t like:
Only one shade which is too dark for my pale skin. Oil control is ok but my skin still gets shiny after a few hours.

Will I buy this again? Nope, because of the color!! Would like to try out other ones from [i.myss], though.

[TONYMOLY] BABY DOLL BB POWDER *Light Beige*

When it comes to face powder I'm not a big fan of loose powders. I always prefered compact powders because of their better coverage. Some time ago [TONYMOLY] released a BABY DOLL BB POWDER which is quite in demand. I wanted to try it out as well and ordered #1 Light Beige. It's also available as #2 Natural Beige for darker skin types.
Other products in this range are the BABY DOLL BB MAKEUP BASES in #1 GREEN or #2 VIOLET.

Description: Powdery type blemish balm which controls greasy skin. Less dusty than the already-existing "soft touch" - and because the product closely adheres to skin, the base makeup lasts long. Unlike the already-existing "soft touch", this BB powder absorbs greasy sebum to make the skin look moisturized and fair. Jojoba oil helps to replenish moisture, and macadamia nut oil guards the skin to keep the skin fully protected.
The BB POWDER is housed in a translucent jar with a pinkish twist-off lid. The jar contains 15g and includes a super soft powder puff.
Underneath the sponge/ puff is something like a 'sieve', so you won't get too much of the powder at ones.
When you remove the plastic cover (sieve) you can see the whole product.
The fine powder is very soft and strong perfumed. #1 Light Beige is a bright shade and I find it a little bit yellowish but looks still ok.
It has just a very slight coverage - it's rather a translucent face powder.
The description says the BABY DOLL BB POWDER is a powder type blemish balm and you apply it after a make-up base. I personally apply it after a BB Cream coz I need a better coverage.
The BB POWDER is a nice product for ppl with flawless skin who doesn't need to cover up many skin blemishes. For others a Powder Pact might be the better choice.
The oil control is just so-so for me. My skin starts to get oily after a few hours again.
Nevertheless, I like the soft & matte finish and will use the powder on those days when my skin needs less coverage!
How to use: Apply to the face after base make-up with sponge.

Price: around 13,- €/ US$16
Bought at: eBay (hsckoreanimports)

What I love:
The soft feeling and matte finish!

What I don’t like:
The coverage isn't strong. Better for ppl with flawless skin.

Will I buy this again? I don't think so! Still prefer Powder Pacts.

[baviphat] Bavi Band AC Therapy Pact *Light Beige*

Since one week I'm using a new compact powder because I used up my previous one from [ETUDE HOUSE]. The one I use now is from [baviphat] and I purchased it back in 2011.
Bavi Band AC Therapy Pact is recommended for acne-prone skin and available in two (2) shades: #1 Light Beige and #2 Natural Beige
I purchased it at eBay but the seller is not selling it anymore. Probably it's discontinued already! Because of that I can't find any informations about this product anymore - not at eBay, google or baviphat's website. I just remember that some ingredients inside shall help to soothe acne-prone skin which becomes red and sensitive due to excess sebum.

The powder pact is housed in a simple white container with a cute print on it. It's a similar print as on the Cleansing Foams. The container includes a mirror and a small soft sponge.
The content is 12g!
#1 Light Beige is the brighter shade available and contains no shimmer. The powder pact is nice scented and has a good coverage.
Most of the time I applied the Bavi Band AC Therapy Pact with the included sponge but I usually tend to use too much of the product this way. My face feels like if I wear a mask and I can see the bad result on my skin as well. Therefore, I try to apply it with a powder brush from now on - with better results!
Unfortunately, my skin still gets oily and reddish after just a few hours but I think I will have that problem....always!!

Price: around 10,- €/ US$15
Bought at: eBay (rubyruby76)

What I love:
The coverage is good!

What I don’t like:
It feels like I wear a mask coz I tend to use too much with the sponge. Oil control isn't good as well!

Will I buy this again? Nope, but I also think it's not available anymore!
