[SKINFOOD] Fresh Apple Smooth Pore Cream

[SKINFOOD] recently released two new skin care lines: the Steam Milk line for dry skin and the Fresh Apple line which is designed for oily skin with enlarged pores. Since both new lines seem very interesting I purchased some things. The only one I received a few days ago is the Fresh Apple Smooth Pore Cream. Waiting for the other products to arrive soon as well!
The Fresh Apple products shall control sebum, smoothing and moisturizing the skin and reducing the pores size.

The following products are available:
- Sparkling Pore Toner
- Sparkling Pore Emulsion
- Sparkling Pore Serum
- Sparkling Pore Cream
- Smooth Pore Cream
- Mild Pore Peeling Gel
- Deep Clear Pore Mask
- Sparkling Pore Toner (for Men)
- Sparkling Pore Emulsion (for Men)

Beside the Smooth Pore Cream I also ordered the Sparkling Pore Cream and Mild Pore Peeling Gel plus, some samples of the Toner, Emulsion and Serum.

Description: A smooth pore cream that contains apple extract and sparkling water to tighten enlarged pores while controlling excessive sebum and oiliness.
The Smooth Pore Cream comes in a small light green tube and contains 30ml only. On the front is a 'sparkling green apple' print while on the back is just the description in Korean. The twist-off lid looks like metal and got an apple print as well.
The main ingredients in this product line are Apple Extract, Malic Acid and Carbonated Water to control excess sebum, shrink pores and balance the skin.
The consistency is similar to a lotion but not as runny. It has just a white color and a fresh scent which reminds me rather of cucumber than apple.
Because of the small size (30ml) I don't know if I should apply the cream to my whole face or just to areas with enlarged pores (nose, cheeks). Furthermore, the Smooth Pore Cream is for me more like a face primer than a face cream. It makes my skin more sleek, matte and large pores smaller but it doesn't feel very moisturizing. For that I ordered the Sparkling Pore Cream which seems to be a face cream!
My skin still gets oily, therefore I'm not 100% satisfied with it. I hope the other ones will be better!

How to use: After last step, spread the cream over your face and let it soak into your pores.

Price (each): around 12,- €/ US$16
Bought at: eBay (gooditem2012)

What I love:
My skin feels more sleek and pores are a bit smaller (not all, though).

What I don’t like:
It is more like a primer and not moisturizing enough to use as face cream.
The oil control could be better as well!

Will I buy this again? No, not this cream! Will see how the other products work.

[ETUDE HOUSE] Nymph AURA Boosting Primer

Together with the Nymph AURA Volumer I purchased the Nymph AURA Boosting Primer from [ETUDE HOUSE]. I would recommend these products rather for normal or dull skin. I got oily skin and I don't think these products are very good for me. They aren't bad but I prefer a more matte finish.

Btw, they released some new products now: a Volumer Mist and the Volumer in #3 Transparent Water Aura.

Description: Makeup primer, specially formulated for glowing skin expression with balancing moisture level, supplies sheer, thin layer of dewy and plumped up skin.
Whitening Effect + Wrinkle Improvement + SPF25/PA++
The packaging has the same design as the Volumer. The Boosting Primer comes in a very light violet/ silver tube with a twist-off lid. The tube contains 30g!
You just need to squeeze a proper amount out of the tube and spread it over your face.
Some ingredients are Water, Zinc Oxide, Aluminum Hydroxide, Adenosine, Xanthan Gum, Caprylyl Glycol and other 'chemicals'.

The primer has a Peach Pink Tone and a lotion-like consistency. It's easy to spread over my face and brightens up my skin tone. My face looks brighter but also a bit pinkish afterwards.
My skin looks more glowing but not too much. That's good and I prefer to use just the Boosting Primer under my BB Cream without the Volumer.
The scent is very nice as well. I like it!!
I use this primer just every once in a while coz it has no oil control which makes in not the right product for oily skin. But it brightens up my skin tone and gives me a more dewy look.

How to use: Apply primer to all over the face. With gently patting, let it melt on skin thoroughly.

Price: around 15,- €/ US$20
Bought at: eBay (BELLOGIRL)

What I love:
Nothing except for the scent and the 'dewy' look.

What I don’t like:
It's not the perfect product for oily skin.

Will I buy this again? No, I won't!

[baviphat] Magic Pore Cover Balm

A few month ago I reviewed the Dr.OIL SOLUTION Anti-Shine Dual Primer from [ETUDE HOUSE] but I couldn't write a good review about the included pore cover balm because I already finished it at that time. I liked this balm and so I decided to get another, similar one right after I finished it: the Magic Pore Cover Balm by [baviphat].
This balm isn't new - my one was manufactured in 2010 already. Have to try to use it up within this year as well. I got so much stuff to finish because it will expire soon....

Description: Pore Cover Balm that makes silky and smooth skin texture.
Silky and soft Silicon Polymer Ingredient covers ores and fine wrinkles and helps to maintain clean makeup condition by controlling excessive sebum.
The Magic Pore Cover Balm is inside a - rather small - white/ light blue container which looks like a capsicum/ paprika. It contains 25g of this balm! I didn't keep the box/ packaging the container came in, though.
Like many other products this one got a white cover underneath the lid for extra 'protection'.
As the product name says already, the consistency is thick: a balm. You need to take out the white balm with your finger and apply it to your skin. Then spread it over your face where you got enlarged pores and fine wrinkles.
It workes quite well on me! It covers my smaller pores without problems but those enlarged ones are still visible. They are less visible than before, though! The Pore Cover Balm also makes my skin more sleek and matte. The scent is citrus-like!
Even though the product is rather small and contains just 25g I think it might last for a longer time. Of course only when you use it on areas with enlarged pores like cheeks/ nose and not on your whole face everyday.

How to use: Apply suitable amount onto face evenly and thinly before using BB Cream/ Foundation.

Price: around 9,- €/ US$11
Bought at: eBay (BELLOGIRL)

What I love:
It covers most of my pores quite well. My skin is more sleek and matte, too.

What I don’t like:
That I have to take out the balm with my fingers.

Will I buy this again? I would but I don't know if it's still sold in Korea.

[ETUDE HOUSE] BB magic Mist

Last year I got a facial mist from [ETUDE HOUSE] which seems to be a little bit different from mists I usually use. The BB magic Mist has the skincare benefits of a BB Cream and can be used before applying make-up or afterwards.

Description: Skin Protection Benefit of B.B. Cream in a Moisturizing Facial Mist.
This BB magic Mist comes in a light violet spray bottle. The color is a bit shimmering and the lid has the same color. The bottle contains 50ml only!
It's a fine mist which is colorless with a floral scent.
The active ingredients are Chamomile Extract, Aloe Vera Gel and Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola). Other ingredients are Water, Rosa Centifolia (Cabbage Rose) Flower Water, Sea Water,
Epilobium Angustifouum (Fireweed) Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Portulaca Oleracea (Purslane) Extract and more.
I usually use the BB magic Mist after I finished applying make-up coz sometimes my face feels dry when I used compact powder. But I have to be careful coz the mist covers my whole face and makes it sometimes too wet due to big water drops. It might ruin my make-up!
Anyway, this facial mist is ok but not really necessary. I prefer 'normal' mists which I can use whenever my skin feels dry or oily.
How to use: Hold bottle 20cm away from face when spraying. Spray mist onto all areas of the face to moisturize and liven complexion. Applicable both prior to and after makeup application.

Price: around 7,- €/ US$9
Bought at: eBay (zinopark)

What I love:
I don't think there is something I really love.

What I don’t like:
It makes my skin too wet what might ruin my make-up.

Will I buy this again? No, I will get other facial mists instead.

[baviphat] Funky Look Smoothing BB Cream *Pore Care Bright*

When I get a new BB Cream I usually start using it as soon as possible but somehow I didn't do that with the Funky Look Smoothing BB Cream from [baviphat] I got last year. I wanted to keep it until I used up some other ones but I noticed yesterday that most of my [baviphat] items are manufactured in 2010. Therefore, I have to use the stuff now - also this BB Cream.
The product description says that this Smoothing BB Cream is good for oily skin and for covering larger pores.
I got shade #1 Pore Care Bright. I think there was a darker color, too. But I'm not sure if this product is still available in Korea.

Description: This BB Cream helps fight oil secretion and reduces pore visibility thanks to its rosemary extracts. Also features SPF30 PA++ sun protection.
The light pink/green tube is flat and contains 35ml. The twist-off lid is green as well.
The Smoothing BB Cream contains the following main ingredients:
Portulaca Oleracea (Purslane) Extract: Moisturizing & Soothing Effect
Luffa Cylindrica (Sponge Luffa) Extract: Moisturizing Effect & Clean Skin Tone
Rosemary Extract: Sebum Control & Pore Care
#1 Pore Care Bright is a light beige without a gray or pinkish undertone. The consistency is not too thick and creamy but also not very watery. The coverage is just light to medium but it's fine for me. The scent is soft what I really like.
I can say after wearing this BB Cream for over 10 hours that I really like it and I don't know why I didn't try it out earlier. The color fits my real skin tone well, the coverage is ok, my skin feels super smooth after applying the BB and my pores are less visible. I also didn't notice any breakouts yet which might come from this BB Cream.
The Smoothing BB Cream doesn't really give my face a matte finish and the oil control is not the best, though. In the afternoon my skin looked shiny again.

Price: around 11,- €/ US$15
Bought at: eBay (BELLOGIRL)

What I love:
Almost everything! I like this BB Cream a lot.

What I don’t like:
Just the oil control again but this problem I will have with every BB Cream.

Will I buy this again? I think I would but I'm not sure if it's still available or already discontinued.

[MISSHA] The style Art Designing Pore Silky Boomer

I'm a person who doesn't like the Korean brand [MISSHA] a lot. I can't really tell why but I prefer other brands with cute designs like 'ETUDE HOUSE, Holika Holika or baviphat'. When I was looking for a new Primer that is good for oily skin and/ or large pores I came to The style Art Designing Pore Silky Boomer - by [MISSHA]. Somehow I found it interesting and ordered it.

The following products are also available:
- Pore Cover Balm
- Moisture Boomer
- Cashmere Loose Powder
- Makeup Fix
- Foundation
- Powder Pact
- Base

Description: Pore control boomer to form a shield on uneven skin for flawless and sleek skin.
Perfect Pore-Control & Multi-Moisture Mechanism & Anti-Wrinkle Makeup
The packaging is pearl pink with some white 'snowflakes' on it. Unfortunately, my camera doesn't show the color well. The decription is in Korean and English.
The tube is long and slim. It's also light pink with the same design as the packaging. It has a simple twist-off lid and contains 30ml.
The Pore Silky Boomer is white and has a liquid consistency (like a serum/ emulsion). I like the fragrance of it very much!
I can't see that this boomer covers my enlarged pores but my skin feels more sleek and silky smooth after applying. My skin looks a bit mattified as well. Sadly, the oil control doesn't last for a long time on my face and I think I get some breakouts of it, too.

Price: around 14,- €/ US$18
Bought at: eBay (BELLOGIRL)

What I love:
The fragrance and the silky smooth feeling.

What I don’t like:
The oil control isn't good enough for me and I think it gives me breakouts.

Will I buy this again? No, I don't think so.
