[SKINFOOD] Peach Sake Pore Serum

After using a toner and before applying a face cream I often use a serum. Good for me are those for enlarged pores and oily skin. [SKINFOOD] has a product line especially for this skin problems: the Peach Sake Pore line. I got the Peach Sake Pore Serum and the BB Cream. I will review the serum today!

Description: Soft serum with 'sake', traditional Japanese wine brewed with rigidly selected rice, and 'peach' extracts rich in vitamin A and C to remove greasiness due to enlarged pores and excessive sebum.

The Peach Sake Pore Serum comes in a very cute, matte glass bottle which looks like those sake bottles from Japan. The plastic lid is long with a 'wood look'.

The bottle contains 45ml and has a pump!

The main ingredients are Rice Sake, Peach Extract and Silica Powder which help to reduce the shine and the appearance of pores on your skin.

This Serum has a white lotion-like consistency and is not as watery as some other serums I tried out. The scent is nice, kinda peachy and I like that my skin looks more matte afterwards. My skin also feels more smooth and velvet - like a peach.

 Unfortunately, it doesn't cover my enlarged pores well and the oil control doesn't last for a long time, too. But I have to remind you that I use the Peach Sake Pore Serum only. You probably get a better result when you use all products of this range and 'everyday'.

How to use: After lotion, apply gently and cover face with hands, for deep absorption.

[SKINFOOD] Black Sesame Hot Mask

A face mask from [SKINFOOD] I use as peeling occasionally is the Black Sesame Hot Mask.
This heating mask is highly moisturizing and provides deep cleansing. I would recommend it for almost all skin types except for very sensitive skin.

Description: Warm heat mask with salt and sugar powder to deep cleanse wastes in rough skin with accumulated keratin and with nutritious black sesame powder to make smooth skin.

Like the Rice Mask and the Egg White Pore Mask the Black Sesame Hot Mask is inside a medium-sized milky white but still translucent container. As I said before already, I like those round containers coz they can be stacked up. You get 110g of this peeling mask!

I think that underneath the twist-off lid/ cap was a second cover again but I threw it away already.

Inside the container the mask has a thick and slightly sticky consistency. When I massage it over my moist face it gets a rather oil-like texture. I don't feel a strong heating effect, though.

The color of the mask is charcoal grey/ brownish but looks also a bit clear on the skin. I can see the black sesame seeds which exfoliate the skin. The scent is from the sesame as well.

Some ingredients of the Black Sesame Hot Mask are Sucrose (Sugar), Glycerine, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Powder, Ether Myristate, Lanolin Wax, Dimethicone, Methyl Paraben and Parfum.

The peeling effect is acceptable but could be better, though. I also hoped that it will heat up more. What I don't like is that the mask becomes rather oily on the skin.

How to use: After washing, apply to wet face, avoiding eye areas. Massage in circular motion, focusing on dry areas, wait 3-5 minutes, and then wash off with warm water.
If used in a hot environment such as a bathroom or sauna, mask can overheat.

That the mask becomes oily and doesn't heat up much.

Will I buy this again? No, I don't think I will.

[ETUDE HOUSE] Nymph AURA Boosting Primer

Together with the Nymph AURA Volumer I purchased the Nymph AURA Boosting Primer from [ETUDE HOUSE]. I would recommend these products rather for normal or dull skin. I got oily skin and I don't think these products are very good for me. They aren't bad but I prefer a more matte finish.

Btw, they released some new products now: a Volumer Mist and the Volumer in #3 Transparent Water Aura.

Description: Makeup primer, specially formulated for glowing skin expression with balancing moisture level, supplies sheer, thin layer of dewy and plumped up skin. 

Whitening Effect + Wrinkle Improvement + SPF25/PA++

The packaging has the same design as the Volumer. The Boosting Primer comes in a very light violet/ silver tube with a twist-off lid. The tube contains 30g!

You just need to squeeze a proper amount out of the tube and spread it over your face.

Some ingredients are Water, Zinc Oxide, Aluminum Hydroxide, Adenosine, Xanthan Gum, Caprylyl Glycol and other 'chemicals'.

The primer has a Peach Pink Tone and a lotion-like consistency. It's easy to spread over my face and brightens up my skin tone. My face looks brighter but also a bit pinkish afterwards. 

My skin looks more glowing but not too much. That's good and I prefer to use just the Boosting Primer under my BB Cream without the Volumer.

The scent is very nice as well. I like it!!

I use this primer just every once in a while coz it has no oil control which makes in not the right product for oily skin. But it brightens up my skin tone and gives me a more dewy look.

How to use: Apply primer to all over the face. With gently patting, let it melt on skin thoroughly.

Nothing except for the scent and the 'dewy' look.

It's not the perfect product for oily skin.

[THE FACE SHOP] bubble bubble Cotton *Foaming Cleanser*

In the morning I always prefer a cleanser that is gentle and moisturize my skin while in the evening I like cleansers for oily or acne-prone skin. When I looked for a new 'morning' cleanser at eBay I came to the bubble bubble Cotton Foaming Cleanser from [THE FACE SHOP].
To be honest, I didn't know anything about this cleanser but the design and the name 'bubble bubble Cotton' let me think it's a gentle cleanser for dry or sensitive skin. I can't find many informations or even reviews about it!

I just know that a Creamy Cleansing Foam is also available and both cleansers are good for All Skin Types especially normal skin.

Description: A pump-type bubble cleansing with creamy foam, contains green tea extracts, which refreshes weaken skin cell.

The Foaming Cleanser comes in a pump-bottle and contains 150ml. The bottle is pastel green with two feathers and a illustration of the creamy foam.

The pump is easy to use and gives you an instantly rich foam. The translucent lid was sealed with a small sticker!

I thought that the cleanser contains Cotton Extract but the main ingredient is Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Extract instead.

Some other ingredients are Water, Glycerin, SD Alcohol, Myristic Acid, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Disodium Edta, Hexyl Cinnamal and Benzyl Salicylate.

The consistency is watery inside the bottle but changes to a creamy foam when you pump it out. The foam is soft perfumed with a floral/ green tea scent!

I use this Foaming Cleanser in the morning and I think it's ok. I like that it doesn't make my skin too dry. I use 2-3 pumps, massage it over my skin and use then my clarisonic Mia.

How to use: Pump 2-3 times to get adequate amount. Evenly spread out and rinse it off with lukewarm water.

[baviphat] Magic Pore Cover Balm

A few month ago I reviewed the Dr.OIL SOLUTION Anti-Shine Dual Primer from [ETUDE HOUSE] but I couldn't write a good review about the included pore cover balm because I already finished it at that time. I liked this balm and so I decided to get another, similar one right after I finished it: the Magic Pore Cover Balm by [baviphat]. 

This balm isn't new - my one was manufactured in 2010 already. Have to try to use it up within this year as well. I got so much stuff to finish because it will expire soon....

Description: Pore Cover Balm that makes silky and smooth skin texture.

Silky and soft Silicon Polymer Ingredient covers ores and fine wrinkles and helps to maintain clean makeup condition by controlling excessive sebum.

The Magic Pore Cover Balm is inside a - rather small - white/ light blue container which looks like a capsicum/ paprika. It contains 25g of this balm! I didn't keep the box/ packaging the container came in, though.

Like many other products this one got a white cover underneath the lid for extra 'protection'.

As the product name says already, the consistency is thick: a balm. You need to take out the white balm with your finger and apply it to your skin. Then spread it over your face where you got enlarged pores and fine wrinkles.

It workes quite well on me! It covers my smaller pores without problems but those enlarged ones are still visible. They are less visible than before, though! The Pore Cover Balm also makes my skin more sleek and matte. The scent is citrus-like!

Even though the product is rather small and contains just 25g I think it might last for a longer time. Of course only when you use it on areas with enlarged pores like cheeks/ nose and not on your whole face everyday.

How to use: Apply suitable amount onto face evenly and thinly before using BB Cream/ Foundation.

What I love: 

It covers most of my pores quite well. My skin is more sleek and matte, too.

What I don’t like: 

That I have to take out the balm with my fingers.
