[ETUDE HOUSE] BAKING POWDER Pore Cleansing Cream

In 2010/2011 [ETUDE HOUSE] released their BAKING POWDER line which cleanses deep inside pores. I got some samples of the Pore Cleansing Foam but never purchased a full size because last year [Holika Holika] released with their Soda Pore Cleansing line some similar products.
Nevertheless, I ordered the BAKING POWDER Pore Cleansing Cream for removing make-up a few weeks ago which I will review now. I'm also waiting for the new Cleansing Foam Moist!

Products available in this line:
- Pore Cleansing Foam
- B.B Deep Cleansing Foam
- Pore Cleansing Powder Wash
- Crunch Pore Scrub
- Pore Cleansing Cream
- Pore Cleansing Lotion
- Pore Cleansing Mineral Water
- Pore Cleansing Tissues (Oil Type)
- Cleansing Foam Moist *New*

Description: Formulated with baking powder to gently exfoliate skin with a cream texture and penetrate pores to absorb oil and residues for a thorough cleanse.
The round plastic container is white with a blue sticker on it and contains 180ml. The description is in English and Korean on it.
The twist-off lid is light blue! Underneath the lid was a thin cover to protect the cream but I removed it already.
The Pore Cleansing Cream has a very soft & creamy consistency and a white color.
Although this product contains baking powder it doesn't has any harsh particles inside like the cleansing foam does. I love the citrus scent which you can smell in almost all BAKING POWDER products!
What I don't like again is that I need to dip my fingers in the product to get the cream out.

Not very hygienic!!
This make-up removing cream does a good job even though it didn't remove my mascara and liquid eyeliner completely. But after washing my face with cleansing foam/ water it was all gone.
I also noticed that the product gets a bit oily after massaging it over my skin.
I was using for example (from left to right):
Tear Drop Liner, Eyeshadow, Eyebrow Concealer, Liquid Eyeliner, Lip Gloss, Lipstick, Mascara & BB Cream
After massaging the Cleansing Cream over the make-up (pic above) and after wiping the residues off with a tissue (pic below).
How to use: Use hands to dispense cream. Apply cream to dry facial surface and massage until makeup is disolved. Wipe off face with facial pad/ tissues and wash with cleansing foam and water.

Price: around 8,- €/ US$10
Bought at: eBay (rubyruby76)

What I love:
The creamy texture and citrus scent!

What I don’t like:
There is nothing I don't like yet. Other cleansing creams/ oils worked a bit better on me but it still removes make-up very well.

Will I buy this again? I would like to try out the Cleansing Lotion and Cleansing Mineral Water.

[THE FACE SHOP] OIL SPECIALIST FRESH CLEANSING OIL & GREEN TEA HAND GEL CREAM

For removing make-up I recently like to use cleansing oils more than cleansing creams/ cleansing wipes.
After I finished the Real Art Cleansing Oil *MOISTURE* I was looking for a new one and found the [shu uemura] skin purifier gentle cleansing oil. Unfortunately, this cleansing oil is too expensive for me, therefore I was looking for a similar but more affordable oil.
I got the OIL SPECIALIST FRESH CLEANSING OIL with Cherryblossom from [THE FACE SHOP]. This cleansing oil is good for All Skin Types especially combination/ oily skin.

It's available in the following types:
- FRESH CLEANSING OIL (Cherryblossom)
- BRIGTENING CLEANSING OIL (Prune)
- ANTI-AGING CLEANSING OIL (Green Tea and Acai Berry)
- ENRICHED CLEANSING OIL (Camellia and Avocado)

Description: Cleans impurities even deep inside the skin~ a refreshing cleansing oil without any sheen.
Light non-sticky texture spreads on the skin quickly and thoroughly cleanses out impurities even inside pores. Cherry blossoms and cherry seed oil clean dead skin cells and pores, leaving a refreshing sense without any hint of sheen after cleansing.
Every cleansing oil got another color! The FRESH CLEANSING OIL got a pink packaging with the description in Korean and English on it.
The oil is inside a round translucent-pink plastic bottle, got a pump and contains 200ml.
This cleansing oil contains the following ingredients:
Mineral Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Prunus Serrulata (Cherry Blossom) Flower Extract, Sweet Cherry Fruit Extract, Butylene Glycol, Fragrance, Linalool and more.
The oil itself is colorless and has just a slight cherry blossom scent. It smells more like an oil!
I use 2~3 pumps and massage the oil over my whole face, then rinse it off with water.
My skin doesn't feel oily or too dry afterwards. If the product gets into your eyes it might blurry your eye-sight.
I used from left to right:
Mascara, Eyebrow Concealer, Liquid Eyeliner, Lipgloss, Lipstick, Eyeshadow, BB Cream.
I applied a few drops of oil on the make-up and massaged it over my skin (pic above).
After removing the residues with a tissue - no water used (pic below):
The oil removes my make-up very well - even eye make-up. I like it and will continue using it after I finished the Happy Teatime Cleansing Cream *Milk Tea*.

How to use: Pump an adequate amount and apply the oil gently to the face. Massage lightly in spiral motions to blend well with make-up for cleansing. Depending on skin type, rinse with warm water or use a cleansing foam for dual cleansing.
Price: around 18,- €/ US$24
Bought at: eBay (hsckoreanimports)

What I love:
I love the whole product! It cleans well and is good for oily skin.

What I don’t like:
Nothing yet!! Except for the price...still a bit expensive.

Will I buy this again? Yes, I would!

With this order I received some samples. One of these samples were the GREEN TEA HAND GEL CREAM. I will write a short review about that, too!

Description: This fresh greent tea - scented gel-type hand cream makes you feel comfortable as if you take a walk in the forest. The antioxidant-rich Korean green tea and Olive oil leave your hands healthy and glowing. Have your hands fresh all the time with green tea hand gel cream!
The gel cream comes in a light green tube with a tiwt-off lid. The tube contains 30ml, so I think it's already the normal/ full size?!
I can't find any informations about this cream yet. Probably it's a newer product!
Anyway, the gel-like consistency has a greenish color and a nice scent. The description says it's a green tea scent!
The GREEN TEA HAND GEL CREAM is non-greasy and absorbs quickly. My hands feel softer but I also think it leaves a film on my skin. That feels a bit weird! But still a nice cream - not the best I tried, though!

[ETUDE HOUSE] Happy Teatime Cleansing Cream *Milk Tea*

[ETUDE HOUSE]'s Happy Teatime product line not only consists of Cleansing Foams, there are also some Cleansing Creams for make-up removal available. I got the Happy Teatime Milk Tea Cleansing Cream which was also my first korean make-up remover, but I prefered to use the Real Art Cleansing Oil first (reviewed that one here).
This Cleansing Cream is available as Milk Tea, Lemon Tea and Aloe Tea.

Description: Cleansing Cream's creamy texture contains Milk protein to remove dirt and makeup while keeping skin moisturized with the pleasent fragrance of tea.
The Cleansing Cream comes in a beige/light brown colored round container and contains 180ml. The lid got a nice teapot print. The container again is wrapped in translucent plastic which you can unfold. That plastic packaging got some 'tea' prints as well.
Consistency-wise, it's creamy but not too thick. It's rather a bit lotion-like and has a white color.
It smells so great!! I love those soft milk scents!! I can't smell the tea fragrance, though.
You have to use your fingers to get the cream out of the container. I don't like that so much and it's also not very hygienic.
The Milk tea Cleansing Cream contains Water, Mineral Oil, Milk Protein, Carbomer, Fragrance and more.
On the following pics I used for example: (from left to right)
Lipliner, Kajal, Mascara, Liquid Eyeliner, Lipstick, Lipgloss and BB Cream.
After massaging the Cleansing Cream on my skin:
After wiping the cream off and cleansing my skin with warm water:
I like this Milk tea Cleansing Cream! Not only because of its soft consistency and scent, also because it cleanses my skin kinda well. My skin feels really soft afterwards but since I wash my face after that with a Cleansing Foam the soft feeling disappears fast.
When the product comes in your eyes it might blurry your eye-sight but it was more worst when I used that Cleansing Oil.

How to use: Apply cream to all areas of the face. Massage thoroughly and wipe clean with cleansing tissues or rinse with warm water to remove excess. Use foam cleanser if needed.

Price: around 10,- €/ US$12.50
Bought at: eBay (rubyruby76)

What I love:
Of course the design and the scent. It also removes my make-up quite well.

What I don’t like:
That I have to take the cream out of the container with my fingers.

Will I buy this again? I would but I wanna try out some other ones, too.

[clarisonic Mia & SIRIUSONIC] Electric Face Brush

I wanted to say something about the two electric facial brushes I got: clarisonic & SIRIUSONIC.
I use the clarisonic for 3 weeks now and the SIRIUSONIC just a few times but I still wanna review both products.

clarisonic Mia (SONIC SKIN CLEANSING):
I purchased the clarisonic Mia which is the smallest and cheapest version of the clarisonic brushes. It's available in a huge range of colors - I decided to get 'Tangerine' which is a really pretty pastel orange. I also liked 'Turquoise' and 'Island Coral' but these colors were sold out at the time I ordered my one. I think all 3 colors are limited!!
I got the Mia for just US$95 (excluding shipping costs from the US) coz the shop offered 20% discount on their whole range. The normal price is usually US$119 for the Mia, US$195 for the Classic and US$225 for the PLUS.
The clarisonic Mia comes in a box which includes a Universal Voltage pLink Charger, a Trial Size (30ml) of the gentle hydro cleanser and a User Guide. A Sensitive Brush Head is already included, too.
I also purchased some Replacement Brush Heads as back-up (will last me for over 12 month):
2x Sensitive Skin
2x Deep Pore Cleansing
Waiting for a Acne Cleansing brush head as well but it didn't arrive yet.

How many brush heads does clarisonic provide?
Normal Skin: Can be used for cleansing normal skin or preparing (men's) skin for shaving.
Sensitive Skin: Gently cleanses normal to sensitive skin types.
Delicate Skin: An ultra-soft skin brush for sensitive and extra-sensitive skin.
Deep Pore Cleansing: Cleanses oily skin or skin with large pores. It gently reaches hard to reach areas of the face (like nose) and can be used daily.
Acne Cleansing: Soft and specifically designed for gentle cleansing of acne-prone skin.
Body Cleansing: A larger brush head designed for your decollete, hands, arms, elbows, feet and other areas of the body. This brush head is preferably used with the clarisonic PLUS and PRO models. It can't be used with the Mia!!

The Replacement Brush Head costs US$25 or US$40 (TWIN-PACK).
Each brush head got a translucent cap for easier removing and attaching.
The clarisonic Mia has just 1 Speed but that's fine for me. I use the brush 2 times a day for always 1 minute. The Mia automatically switches off after that time.
The clarisonic has a soft vibration and the inner ring of the brush head is turning/ rotating.
You should clean the brush head at least once a week with a antibacterial soap and let it air dry. Remove the brush head for doing that with the help of the cap: Press, move counterclockwise and then pull! To attach it again just press and move clockwise until you hear it snap in.
Replace the brush head every three (3) months to keep your brush clean and your skin healthy.

SIRIUSONIC (SONIC SKINCARE SYSTEM):
The SIRIUSONIC is just available in white.
It's not very easy to find a shop who sells this Skincare System except from their official website (siriusbeauty.com) which is located in USA.
The SIRIUS brush is more favorable than the clarisonic one. It costs US$49 (excluding shipping costs) and around US$14 for the replacement brush heads (set of 2). I have to say that I got it for free coz the shop canceled my order and still shipped it. They didn't charge my credit card!
This facial brush comes in a box and contains, beside a User Guide, a Storage Cradle and 5 different attachments:
1x Brush Head (Normal Skin)
1x Brush Head (Sensitive Skin)
1x Exfoliation (Sponge) Applicator
1x Hydration (Sponge) Applicator
1x Toning (Massage) Attachment
The Skincare System also came with a pair of batteries since it's not rechargeable like the clarisonic.
Removing and attaching the different attachments is very easy: just pull off and press on.
Compared with the clarisonic the SIRIUSONIC device does vibrate only. The brush heads aren't turning/ rotating. In addition, It doesn't switch off automatically after 1 minute.
With the same order I got 2 Replacement Brush Heads for 'Sensitive Skin' which are white/blue and not just white like the one which came with the device.
You should clean the attachments once a week with soap and replace them every 3 month (Brush Heads) or every 1-2 month (Sponge Applicators).
The Toning Attachment is made of plastic with 4 massage knobs. I don't think you have to replace this one.
The SIRIUSONIC also has just 1 Speed which is enough for me. The included Storage Cradle is very useful, too.

Which one do I prefer?
The way you have to clean your skin is with both brushes the same: wet your face & the brush head, add some cleansing foam and clean your face in circular motions:
forehead (20 sec.), nose/chin (20 sec.), cheeks (10 sec. each).
Both brushes are waterproof, so you can use them in your shower (don't throw them in water, though).

I like the clarisonic Mia a lot more than the SIRIUSONIC which I use currently only when I recharge the Mia. Unfortunately, I don't really see an improvement of my skin yet. After cleansing my skin looks sleek and some pores seem to be smaller but that's all atm. I still get breakouts, blackheads, oily skin and dry patches. Of course I will continue using both facial brushes and hope it will work on my skin soon.

I haven't tried all attachments of the SIRIUSONIC yet. Just the Sensitive Skin Brush and the Exfoliation (Sponge) Applicator. The Sponge Applicator is kinda weird, though. I don't really know how to use it, so it always seems to 'absorb' the products only. The Peeling works better when I use my hands for that.
