[SKINFOOD] RED ORANGE MAKEUP FINISH (MATTE TYPE)

To improve the lasting of my make-up I use already primers and mineral powders. Now I wanted to try out setting sprays and purchased, beside a German drugstore brand, the RED ORANGE MAEKUP FINISH (MATTE TYPE) from [SKINFOOD]. This setting spray is available as GLOSSY TYPE as well but I would recommend that one for normal or dry skin while the MATTE TYPE is good for combination/ oily skin.

The RED ORANGE line consists of the following products:
- JELLY BB
- MAKEUP FINISH (MATTE/ GLOSSY TYPE)
- SUN PACT
- SUN POWDER
A Honey Red Orange Mask is available, too!

Description: Makeup Finish containing orange extracts and sebum controll powder to help control excess oil and creat a natural shine.
The make-up setting spray is housed in a reddish-orange plastic bottle with a pump. The bottle isn't too big and contains 80ml.
Some ingredients are Alcohol, Orange Fruit Extract, Lemon Fruit Extract, Kiwi Fruit Extract, Strawberry Fruit Extract and Silica.
The spray is colorless and has the scent of red (blood) orange. Since I love blood orange juice I also like its scent.
I use the spray after I'm done with my make-up! I spray it over my whole face and let it dry. While it dries I get a warm feeling on my skin - it's not burning, just feels a bit warm.
This finishing spray doesn't keep my make-up matte for a super long time, though, but it looks better than without.
How to use: After shaking it well before use, spray evenly on your face from about 1 feet away. Spray after make-up, it helps the makeup last long.

Price: around 12,- €/ US$15
Bought at: eBay (zinopark)

What I love:
The scent and my make-up looks longer 'fresh'.

What I don’t like:
My skin doesn't look matte for a super long time. After 8 hours it still gets oily.

Will I buy this again? I'm not sure yet! Might be that I try out other setting sprays first.

    1. It's a nice product even though it doesn't work perfectly for me.

  2. Does it smudge or smear your eye makeup? I figured these products are good to refresh your make up half way through the day.

    1. It didn't! ^^ The mascara was still on my lashes. Of course, you shouldn't touch your makeup until it completely dried and don't hold the bottle too close to your face when spraying.

  3. Did it make your face look dewy or still matte when it dried? I planned on buying this but I didn't haha.

    1. I spray it on my face after using a face powder and it still looks rather matte after it dried. If you want a dewy look you can try out the glossy type but I don't know how that works, though. =)
